Analyzes elements and principles of art in the production of one’s art and crafts inspired by the arts of Luzon (highlands and lowlands)
Identifies characteristics of art and crafts in specific areas in Luzon (e.g., paper mache [taka] from Paete, Ifugao wood sculptures [bul’ul], Cordillera jewelry and pottery, tattoo, and Ilocos weaving and pottery [burnay],etc.)
MUSIC 9- WESTERN MUSIC
Music 9 is designed to equip students with the basic knowledge and skills to recognize, distinguish and familiarize students with the music of the Western, its forms and instruments.

The learner should demonstrates understanding of salient features of Western Music and the Arts from different historical periods, through appreciation, analysis, and performance for self-development, the celebration of Filipino cultural identity and diversity, and the expansion of one's world vision.
Arts and Crafts of Highland and Lowland Luzon
This course is about the Arts and Crafts of Highland and Lowland Luzon. Students will be given a visual tour of the unique and indigenous arts and crafts of Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, Cagayan, Central Luzon and CALABARZON. Students are tasked to study and analyze the different elements and principles of art, materials and designs used by artisans to produce these crafts. They are also expected to make or create their own designs of some selected examples of arts and crafts by taking into consideration the patterns and designs unique in each region.

Health Appraisal
Adolescents undergo a lot of physical changes as they grow and develop. As such, it is important to monitor their health. One way to do that is by using health appraisal.
Health appraisal is a series of procedures done to evaluate, to assess and to determine an individual’s health status. It is performed to gather important information about an individual’s body fitness and medical condition.
Every year, the health status of students is being assessed and evaluated using health appraisal procedures.
WHAT IS IT

1. Teacher Observation
Student spend more time in school and with their teachers every day. Over time teachers become familiar with their students’ behavior and appearance. Teachers can easily observe if there is something wrong with their students physically, if a student is okay or not feeling well, if a student is too small for his/her age, if they are overweight or

A component of MAPEH which aims to discuss fundamentals and theories that every student should learn through singing, listening, reading, playing, and creating. This also brings the students to a deeper understanding and greater knowledge of the Philippine music history.

Component of MAPEH that needs to be acquired, developed, and appreciated. This component focuses on how the elements of arts are organized, the functions of art, the mediums and techniques used, and history of art.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
This component allows students to become more equipped to learn about body mechanics, good posture, and different games and sports activities. Values like cooperation, teamwork, concern for others, sportsmanship and self-confidence are also focused. This part of MAPEH program enhances the knowledge and skills of students in different areas of Physical Education promoting active lifestyle among students.
