This Self-Learning Module (SLM) is designed for you to focus on the core concepts of Integrated Science for grade 7. It is often heard and believed that the Sun is the ultimate source of light. This belief has a scientific reason. This module introduces the concept of light and colors. At the end of the module, it is expected that you can relate the colors and intensity of light to wavelength and frequency and be able to compare the colors of light in terms of frequency, wavelength, and speed.

Each activity has only four parts. It starts with learning the skill, the process skill that you are going to practice, the objective which is the picture of what you are going to accomplish, the procedure to guide you with your task, and the question which enriches your scientific inquiry and understanding.

This Self-Learning Module (SLM) is designed for you to focus on the core concepts of Integrated Science for grade 7. It begins with a basic understanding of solutions. In Grade 6, you studied heterogeneous and homogeneous solutions. In Grade 7, the types of solutions such as concentrated, dilute, unsaturated, saturated, and supersaturated are introduced.

Each activity has only four parts. It starts with learning the skill, the process skill that you are going to practice, the objective which is the picture of what you are going to accomplish, the procedure to guide you with your task, and the question which enriches your scientific inquiry and understanding.

This learner’s material is designed for you to focus on the core concepts of Integrated Science for grade 7. It begins with the concepts of the scientific method. It lets you recall the steps of the scientific method and its importance in solving daily challenges. Along with the steps of the scientific method are the different variables of the study. Here, you are going to learn the differences between the three types of variables. In designing a study, the variables are identified, and as a starting point, you are going to test one independent variable at a time. It is in this module that you are going to study the different science process skills such as observing, measuring, inferring, and interpreting data.

Each activity has only four parts. It starts with learning the skill, the process skill that you are going to practice, the objective which is the picture of what you are going to accomplish, the procedure to guide you with your task, and the question which enriches your scientific inquiry and understanding. There is a performance task after the whole lesson to showcase your deeper understanding, learned skills, and unique abilities.

At the end of this module, it is believed that you have already mastered the necessary skills, covered the essential competency, and developed the sense of learning expected of you. Enjoy learning!
