This Self-Learning Module (SLM) is designed for you to focus on the core concepts of Integrated Science for grade 7. It begins with a basic understanding of solutions. In Grade 6, you studied heterogeneous and homogeneous solutions. In Grade 7, the types of solutions such as concentrated, dilute, unsaturated, saturated, and supersaturated are introduced.

Each activity has only four parts. It starts with learning the skill, the process skill that you are going to practice, the objective which is the picture of what you are going to accomplish, the procedure to guide you with your task, and the question which enriches your scientific inquiry and understanding. 

This module was designed to provide you with fun and meaningful learning activities that you can accomplish at your own pace and time. You are expected to be an independent, active learner as you process the content of this learning resource.

This module is comprised of the following lessons:

Lesson 1 – Supplying other words or expressions that complete an analogy

Lesson 2 – Identifying the genre, purpose, intended audience and features of various viewed texts

Lesson 3 – Using the passive and active voice meaningfully in varied contexts Lesson 4 – Using the past and past perfect tenses correctly in varied contexts

Basic Journalism is offered as an elective subject in English for grade 9 students at Las Piñas City National Science High School. Passing it is required for promotion and graduation.

This course will tackle three (3) basic approaches to writing a critique. Further, this aims to:

• conduct a close reading of a literary work;
• identify the features and purposes of the different approaches in writing a critique;
• determine the different approaches used in writing a critique;
• write a critique of a literary work using a particular critical approach.

 LESSON 1: GENERATING PATTERNS

     COURSE OVERVIEW:   

Maraming pagbabago ang naganap at patuloy na nagaganap sa takbo ng buhay ng mga mga Pilipino. Sa bawat pagbabagong ito ay maaaninag ang bawat impluwensiya ng mga nagdaang sumakop sa ating mahal na bansang Pilipinas Kung kaya, sa araling ito, ay lubos pang ipauunawa sa bawat mag-aaral ng ikalimang baitang ang mga kadahilanan kung bakit nasasalamin sa ating mga Pilipino ang mga bagay, gawi, at pag-uugali ng mga Espanyol sa ating bansa gayun din sa ating mga kultura at tradisyon bilang pagkakakilanlan ng ating lahi.

In cookery, egg refers to poultry or fowl products. The versatility of eggs is evident in its presence in numerous food items. Eggs may be eaten cooked in its shell, fried or poached or may be combined with other ingredients to produce another dish. In baking, egg acts both as an emulsifier and leavener.

The egg’s protective coating or mucin layer which aids in the maintenance of its freshness by covering the small holes in the shell is called bloom. Bloom is removed during washing so it is not advisable to wash eggs prior to storage unless it is very dirty. Removal of the mucin layer will expose the holes making the egg susceptible to bacterial penetration and dehydration, thus hastening deterioration of its quality.

Eggs are produced commercially in farms with a few hundred laying chickens, or in large laying complexes with thousands of layers. Small and micro-sized backyard poultry either in small poultry cages or as free range chicken are also producing eggs. Egg is indeed a convenient food for any meal in and out of the house.
